Hardy Cognac Perfection Series Earth 750ml

The ”Essential Element” series have been bottled in a magnificent Daum crystal decanter. Each of the 300 decanters are numbered and have proof of authenticity. The origin of the eaux-de-vie that makes this Cognac rare and excellent dates back to the 1870’s, the Pre-phylloxera days. Thinking of his family’s future, our founder, Antoine Hardy gathered several different batches. This Cognac comes from the area known today as Grande Champagne. Its grapes are composed of a 100% French Colombard and this eaux-de-vie is pure and unblended at a natural strength of 41% volume. Hints of Chocolate and coffee, big oak and great balance adds to the complexity. A rare Cognac for those who demand the finest! When perfection is gone, c’est fini, for it can never be duplicated. Treat yourself to a taste of history. - Rated 5 stars, Paul Pacult - Spirit Journal

Alize Cognac V.S. 750ml 86

Alize Cognac V.S. 750mlThe art of blending Cognac begins with the selection of the fruit of various vineyard origins and the skill in maturing the brandies they yield over an extended period of time. The objective of the blending process is to create a spirit of perfect continuity of quality and character.

Alizé Cognacs, produced by the house of L&L, are composed of eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois and Bons Bois areas of the Cognac region. These are referred to as the ”crus” of Cognac. Alizé Cognacs are further distinguished in their use of the Folle Blanche grape, one of the oldest and rarest varieties in the Cognac vineyard. This variety lends lovely aromas of linden and violet to the brandies as well as generosity and longevity.

Distilled in the only existing distillery in the heart of the town of Cognac, Alizé Cognacs are matured in oak barrels from the Limousin region of France crafted by master coopers who have served our company from its beginning, and gently aged in our cellars on the banks of the Charente River.

Tasting notes
Blended from supple, mellow Cognacs from the region's finest microclimates, this refined, fruity spirit shows balanced notes of warm toast and oak in an integrated texture with fine persistence on the finish.
